What should a good booklet cover look like?

A good booklet cover must have images designed that go well with the title, but it must be kept in mind that the images inserted must not overlap the title, as this would create difficulty in reading it. Any signature style, if any, which the readers have always loved about the author must also be present on the cover page. Every booklet will have a different cover page reflecting the author’s personality regarding the title.

What key elements must be covered?

The title must be written in bold letters so that it is easily visible to the reader. It should not be written in a font size that makes it difficult for the reader to visualize the title. The name of the author must be written beneath the title, and it should be written clearly. Moreover, the edition number must also be specified neatly and clearly.

Avoid unnecessary details

While designing the cover, the author must avoid adding any unnecessary detail that is not required to be published. For example, when you add your name, you should not add your birth date along with it as this is certainly not required to be added.

Keep in mind the audience

Whenever designing a booklet title page, one must keep in mind the audience it is to be attended by. If you are to publish something for people to raise awareness on a topic they are unaware of or they are less educated on, you must use simple yet clear words that help in conveying your message to the group of audience you are addressing. Here, the use of complicated words will not only make your efforts void but also will be of no interest to the reader.

Moreover, if you are addressing kids on a certain topic, choose images for the cover that help attract children, and if you are writing for adults, then stop choosing childish images. Reflect maturity in your style.

In the end, it would not be wrong to say that a booklet’s front page must not be dull. It should be designed with catchy colors depending on the audience you are addressing. It should reflect positivity in the minds of the reader. One should always show respect for others while addressing sensitive issues. While designing it for a topic that is a sensitive issue, one must not use images that show harshness towards someone going against it. It should rather provoke the reader to change his mind and move towards positivity.
