What is A project management report?

A project management report is a summary analysis of the current position of the project. It is authorized documentation of a project at a given time. This report is regulated to the project manager to help keep them up to date on the development; the report may be required weekly or monthly.

The project management report must be short and convey all the key points and results. The report must not be too technical and should provide context. The report must allow the readership to quickly update the project's overall progress without going over the whole report.

What should it include?

This report should include the project budget and if the project is missing any major resources or if resources have been overallocated to other areas of the project. This report must explain issues that have come up, endangers the project face, and describe measures taken to label them.
