Caregiver Resume Template with House Header and Availability Grid
When a family hires a caregiver, they are inviting someone into their home to look after a person they love. They want to know that you are kind, reliable, and experienced, and they want to know when you can work. This resume answers all of that on one warm, welcoming page, starting with a header shaped like a house.
Welcome Home: The Header
A soft sage house shape fills the top of the page, with a dark green roofline, a small chimney, and a terracotta heart in the gable. Your name sits inside the house in Bitter, a friendly serif, with your certifications in spaced terracotta capitals underneath. Your contact details run below in a single line. A pale sage band closes the bottom of the page. 538,772
Care Services Checklist
The left column opens with a list of the services you offer, each with a small green check icon: personal care and bathing, medication reminders, meal planning and cooking, mobility and transfers, dementia support, light housekeeping, errands and appointments, and companionship. Families often search for a specific need, such as help after surgery or dementia care, so tailor this list to the help you actually provide.
The Weekly Availability Grid
Below the checklist is a simple grid showing the days of the week with a dot under each. Terracotta dots mark the days you can work, and grey dots mark the days you cannot. A short line underneath explains your shifts, such as days, overnights, or live-in by arrangement. Agencies and families tell us this is one of the first things they look for, so keep it up to date when your schedule changes.
Experience Families Trust
Describe each role in terms of the people you cared for and the difference you made. Instead of provided personal care, try helped a client recover from hip surgery and return to walking with a frame. Mention conditions you have experience with, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or stroke recovery, and how you kept families informed. Daily notes and shared apps are reassuring to adult children who live far away.
A Quote From a Family
The What Families Say section holds one short testimonial in italics, with who said it and when. A kind sentence from a client's son or daughter can be more convincing than any list of skills. Always ask permission before quoting someone, and use a role such as client's daughter rather than a full name to protect their privacy. If you work through an agency, your supervisor may also be happy to provide a short reference line you can use here.

Adjusting the Design in Word
- The house, roofline, chimney, heart, and footer band are shapes in the page header. Double-click near the top of the page to select them; try a soft blue or lavender house for a different feel.
- The availability grid is a small table. Change a dot's color to switch a day between available and unavailable.
- Check icons sit at the start of each service line; copy a line to add a service.
Printing Copies for Families
Bitter and Karla are free from Google Fonts. The page is one US Letter sheet. Many families like a printed copy, so print a few on good paper, and keep a PDF for agency applications. Update the availability grid before every new application so families never call about days you cannot work.
