Social Media Manager Resume Template Styled as a Profile Page
A social media manager's resume should look like you know the platforms inside out. This one does. It is laid out like a social profile: a colorful gradient cover, a round avatar with a story ring, a verified tick next to your name, a row of follower-style stats, and a grid of results tiles that look like your best-performing posts.
Your Profile, on Paper
Across the top of the page, a cover banner shifts from purple through magenta and coral to orange. A round photo overlaps its bottom edge inside a white circle, ringed in pink like a story bubble. To the right, your name sits in bold Work Sans with a small blue check, followed by your handle and role in pink capitals and your contact details. Beneath, four stats read like profile counters: followers managed, years in social, engagement growth and brands grown.
The Results Grid
In the right column, six bright tiles in purple, pink, orange and plum form a grid like the top of a profile feed. Each holds one big number and a short label: reel views, engagement rate, social-led sales, user-generated posts, reply time and follower growth. Recruiters will spend more time on this grid than on any other part of the page, so use your strongest, most recent figures.
Metrics Hiring Managers Trust
| Metric | Why it matters | Tip |
| Engagement rate | Shows content quality, not just reach | Give the platform and time period |
| Social-attributed revenue | Links your work to sales | Use the figure your analytics tool reports |
| Follower growth | Shows audience building | Pair with a time frame, such as six months |
| Response time | Shows community care | Useful for service-heavy brands |
| Cost per result on paid | Shows budget discipline | Mention the objective you optimized for |
Campaigns Section
Below your experience, a short campaigns list gives three wins in one line each, written with a hashtag-style name and a result. This is where you show creativity: a seasonal launch, a creator program, or a user-generated ad strategy. Hiring managers often ask about campaigns in interviews, so choose ones you can talk about from brief to results.
Hashtag Skills
Skills appear as six pink chips written like hashtags, such as #ShortFormVideo, #CommunityMgmt and #PaidSocial. It is a playful detail, but keep the words themselves serious and searchable, because applicant tracking systems still read the text. Swap the chips to match the platforms and skills in each job posting.
From Coordinator to Manager
If you are moving up from a coordinator or specialist role, show that you can own strategy as well as posting. Mention content calendars you planned, budgets you managed, creators you recruited, and reports you presented to leadership. A small personal account can also be evidence, if it shows growth and a consistent voice.
Restyling the Profile in Word
- The gradient cover, avatar ring, and story ring are shapes in the page header. Double-click near the top of the page to change the colors to a brand's palette.
- Right-click the photo and choose Change Picture; crop it to an oval if square corners appear.
- The results grid is a two-column table; change a tile's color in Table Design and type over its figure.
Typefaces and Links
Work Sans and Nunito Sans are free from Google Fonts; install both before you edit so the name and stats keep their weight. The resume fits one US Letter page. Add links to two or three accounts you have grown, and send a PDF so the gradient and tiles look exactly as designed. Refresh the results grid every quarter so the numbers stay current and match what recruiters see on your live accounts.
