Congratulations Comes First
Most gift certificates open with the name of the business. This one opens with a celebration. A bright orange banner across the top reads CONGRATULATIONS!, which turns the card from a transaction into a happy surprise. It is a good choice for service businesses where the gift is a moment: a haircut, a consultation, a coaching session, a cleaning visit or a styling appointment.
Design at a Glance
The certificate is 3.375 x 2.125 inches in landscape, the size of a credit card. The main colours are deep slate blue and orange. The orange banner runs across the top. At the far right, a darker column holds a round logo placeholder with the word LOGO, and a cluster of orange and amber triangles fills the bottom right corner like folded paper.
The title sits in the centre: Personalized Service in a white script, with GIFT CERTIFICATE below it in strong orange capitals. Beneath the title are orange lines for six pieces of information, set in three rows of two: Recipient’s Name, Certificate Number, Amount, Presented By, Date Issued and Valid Until.
Why There Are Six Fields
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Recipient’s Name | Shows who the gift is for |
| Certificate Number | Lets you track and cancel the certificate |
| Amount | The value or service included |
| Presented By | The giver or the staff member who sold it |
| Date Issued | The date of sale, useful for expiry rules |
| Valid Until | The last day to redeem |
What Counts as Personalized Service?
The heading is intentionally general. Retype Personalized Service to the real service: Styling Session, Home Organising, Tax Consultation, Private Tutoring or Massage Therapy. The script style handles short and long phrases, although very long phrases may need a smaller size.
Adding Your Logo
Click the LOGO circle and replace it with your own mark. Because the background in that column is dark, white or light logos work best. If your logo is dark, place it on a small white panel.
Handing Over the Certificate
Pair the card with a note describing what happens next, such as how to book. A small envelope in a matching orange or white works well. Print on matte card stock of 250 to 300 gsm, and use a laser printer for solid dark areas if you can.
Examples of Personalized Services
- A personal stylist who builds a wardrobe plan.
- A home organiser who clears one room in a day.
- A coach who offers three one-hour sessions.
- A photographer who delivers a custom portrait set.
- A baker who designs a custom cake.
Whichever you offer, replace Personalized Service with the real name, and write the details in the Amount line so that the certificate stands alone as a record of the gift.
Why Dark Slate Suits Service Businesses
Dark slate blue with orange accents looks professional and approachable at the same time. It reads as calm and competent, which is what a customer wants when they hand over money for something personal. The orange keeps it from feeling cold.
