A Small Shop Owner’s December
Imagine a florist, a bookshop or a hair studio in the second week of December. Customers walk in and ask the same question: “Do you do gift vouchers?” A good answer is a neat printed card that looks like a present, and that can be written out in half a minute while the customer is still at the counter. This voucher is made for that situation. It is clean and bright, it has a ribbon and a bow so it already looks wrapped, and it leaves plenty of white space for a pen.
The Look of the Voucher
The card measures 3.375 x 2.125 inches in landscape, the size of a credit card. The background is white, which keeps ink costs low and makes handwriting easy to read. A wide red ribbon runs diagonally from the top left, with a silver gift bow tied on it, as if the card itself were wrapped. A thin strip of red runs down the right edge.
Two shiny Christmas baubles, one red and one green with white stripes, hang from a gold string at the top centre. Next to them is the logo area, with a red LOGO and a slogan line. The words GIFT in black and VOUCHER in red follow below, with a short line of text and, in the bottom right, COMPANY NAME HERE with an address, phone and email.
Where the Value Goes
In the bottom left, a large red VALUE and $50 sit beside a line labelled No. for the voucher number. Type the amount if you sell fixed values, or leave it empty and write it by hand for custom sales.
Quick Customisation Steps
- Replace LOGO and the slogan with your logo image.
- Type your business name and contact details over COMPANY NAME HERE.
- Edit the sentence under VOUCHER into something specific, such as “Valid for any service until 28 February.”
- Change the VALUE amount.
- Download as PDF to print.
The bow and the baubles are artwork placed on the card, so they keep their colours. The text colours can be changed to match your brand.
Why a White Voucher Helps
White vouchers are practical. They photocopy well, they print on any inkjet printer without heavy ink use, and a signature or stamp stands out clearly. If your business uses a rubber stamp for official validation, it will show up crisply here. A bright, light design also sits comfortably in a card holder or a greeting card.
Eight vouchers fit on a letter sheet with standard margins, so a hundred vouchers need only a few sheets of 250 gsm card stock.
Terms and Tracking
Write the voucher number on the No. line and record it, with the date and the amount, in a notebook or spreadsheet. Put your main condition in the short sentence under VOUCHER, for example “No cash value, one voucher per visit.” One clear sentence on the card works better than a long policy nobody reads. If you need more room, duplicate the page in the editor and print the full terms on the back.
