Santa With a Gold Bell and String Light Letters
A red scalloped border frames this white certificate, with faint grey bells and bows in the background. MERRY CHRISTMAS is spelled out letter by letter on red and white light bulbs strung across the top left. A cheerful Santa with round glasses and a red bow rings a large gold bell on the right. Gift Certificate sits in a gold script, with a small Amount box with a dollar sign and lines for To, From, Valid and Signature, the To and From lines showing Recipient Name and Sender Name in italics.
A Long Certificate Shape
The certificate is 8.5 x 4 inches, a long landscape shape that fits two to a letter sheet. It slides into a No. 10 envelope with a little room to spare, which makes it easy to post or hand over in a card.
Amount, Names and the Valid Date
The amount box, the To and From lines, the valid date and the signature line are all blank or placeholder text. The valid line shows dd mm yy, so type the expiry date in full, such as 31 December 2026, to avoid confusion between date formats. Sign each certificate by hand to make it official.
Preparing the Santa Certificate
- Type or write the amount.
- Fill in the recipient and sender.
- Set an expiry date.
- Sign by hand.
- Print two per sheet.
Christmas Gift Certificates for Businesses
Shops, salons and restaurants sell more gift certificates in December than any other month. A cheerful Santa design looks festive on the counter and makes a last minute gift feel special. Add your business name and address on the back if you print double sided.
Using It as a Personal Gift
Families can use the certificate for homemade gifts, such as a promise of a day out or a cooked dinner. Replace the dollar amount with a description, such as One family picnic, and sign it from the whole family.
Numbering Certificates to Prevent Fraud
The design has no certificate number. For businesses, add a short number near the signature and keep a log of each certificate sold, its value and its expiry date.
Printing the Red Border
The scalloped red border runs close to the edges. Print on bright white card at high quality, and trim along the border for a neat finish.
Expiry Dates and Local Rules
Some places have rules about how long gift certificates must remain valid. Check local consumer rules before setting an expiry date, since this layout is not legal advice.
Presenting the Santa Certificate
Slip the certificate into a red envelope or tie it with ribbon. Presentation turns a piece of card into a proper gift.
Using the Santa Certificate
Keep a few printed and ready through December.
