Give an Experience, Not Another Object
People are increasingly choosing to give days out, tours and activities instead of things that end up in a cupboard. A certificate for a ski day, a guided hike, an escape room or a boat trip needs a card that feels as exciting as the activity. This template is dressed for exactly that: a snowy outdoor scene, a mountain emblem and a headline that promises adventure.
Reading the Design Top to Bottom
The card is a landscape 3.375 x 2.125 inches, the size of a credit card. The left side is deep navy, and a strip of tiny white icons hangs across the top like a garland: bells, snowflakes, a gift, a tree and reindeer. At the top is a white mountain peak with the word LOGO beneath it, which is the place for your own mark.
The headline reads EXPERIENCE or ADVENTURE in white condensed capitals, with Christmas Gift Certificate in a blue script below it. On the right, a photograph spills over the navy with a ragged, snowy edge. It shows a decorated tree on a snowy hill with two people walking in winter clothes. The tree has presents at its base and a star on top.
The bottom of the card carries the message “Wishing you an exciting and adventurous Christmas!”

Making It Yours
If your activity is not mountain related, change the logo slot first. Place your own emblem over the white peak and retype LOGO. Then edit the headline: EXPERIENCE or ADVENTURE can become KAYAK TOUR, ESCAPE ROOM or HOT AIR BALLOON in the same space. Click the snowy photograph, choose Replace Image and use a picture of your own activity. If your event is held in a warm climate, swap in a beach or a trail photo and delete the ornament icons.
The navy and blue make a strong colour pair for winter outdoor businesses. For a high-energy feel, recolour the headline accent to orange or lime. The row of small icons along the top is a single image, so you can delete it for a plainer card. Because the certificate is a gift for a future day out, it also helps to write the activity date or the booking instructions in the space under the footer message.
Practical Advice for Activity Providers
- Print the booking phone number or website in the empty space, so the recipient knows how to redeem.
- Seasonal activities need a realistic expiry, so use Valid Until clearly.
- Print on thick card stock. A certificate this small is easy to lose, so a firm card feels more valuable.
- Offer matching gift envelopes at the counter to lift the gift appeal.
