If the first two rows describe what you need, read on. This is a family and community voucher with a warm, old-fashioned feel.
A Closer Look at the Artwork
The voucher is landscape and measures 8.5 x 4 inches. The background is a soft cream, blurred with golden bokeh lights as if someone photographed a Christmas tree through a window. Pine branches reach in from the top right and bottom left corners, and a small sprig of holly with black berries decorates the upper left. A thin double frame in grey outlines the card.
The title is one of the most charming parts. The word HAPPY and the word HOLIDAYS are spelt out in red letters, and each letter is decorated with a tiny snowman, so the whole greeting looks like a row of little characters. On the right stands Santa Claus, smiling, holding a wrapped gift in one hand and a big dark red sack over his shoulder.
Where to Write
Near the middle, the words A GIFT FOR YOU introduce four lines: To, From, Amount and Signature. The first two show grey prompts, Recipient Name and Sender Name, that you can replace. The text is easy to click and edit, and the blank spaces leave enough room for a long name or a pen.
Handy Uses
- Church and community groups giving gifts to volunteers.
- Families promising a treat, such as “One pizza night of your choice.”
- Teachers rewarding students at a class party.
- Small businesses that want a friendly, handwritten gift card.
Notes on Printing
At 8.5 inches wide, the voucher fills a letter sheet from edge to edge, so use Fit to page in the print dialog or print on a larger sheet and trim. The cream background means you do not need a paper stock that is bright white. Warm ivory card stock between 250 and 300 gsm suits it well. The decorative letters are artwork, so if you wish to change the greeting you can remove them and type a new line in a font you like.
Keeping the Cream Colour Warm
The soft cream background and golden lights are a big part of the charm. If your printer shifts cream towards yellow or grey, adjust the paper rather than the file: choose an ivory card stock instead of a bright white one and the colour will sit comfortably. Print a test, compare it with the screen, and check that the thin grey frame is visible without looking heavy.
