Designer’s Notes
This voucher is the most playful of the set. The edges are scalloped, like the trim on a gift bag: a ring of red scallops runs around the top, left and bottom, and a big green scalloped arc swings in from the right. The scallops make the card feel soft and festive without needing any snowflakes or Santa.
On the left side the word Gift is written in green script with a small gold flourish beneath it, and VOUCHER is stacked below in thick red capitals in the Bungee typeface. A short placeholder paragraph, a green phone and email line and the SAMPLE LOGO sit under it. On the green arc, a large red $60 sits above a happy cluster of presents: a yellow box with a red ribbon, a green box with a gold ribbon, and two party hats in red and green with white stars.
Who It Suits
The cartoon gifts and chunky letters give the card a family feel. It is a good match for toy shops, bakeries, ice cream parlours, kids’ activity centres, music schools and any business that welcomes children. Parents can also use it at home as a promise card, for example “One trip to the cinema.”
Changing the Details
Click the text on the left side to change the paragraph, the phone number and email. The $60 is text, so retype it to any value. The voucher number line at the top reads No. and a line, ready for handwriting. Replace SAMPLE LOGO by clicking it and using Replace Image, or by placing your own logo on top.
The bunch of gifts on the green arc is a group of pictures. If you prefer a plainer look, delete them and make the value larger.
Trimming the Scalloped Edge
The scalloped edge looks best when it is trimmed close to the red border. If you use a guillotine, cut just inside the scallops for a clean white edge, or use scalloped craft scissors for a decorative one. Print on 250 to 300 gsm card stock, and a letter sheet will hold eight vouchers with normal printer margins.
Making a Set for a Kids’ Event
The cheerful style makes this card a good fit for children’s parties and school events. A class teacher can print one voucher for each pupil with a different reward, such as Choose a Book or Extra Playtime. A scout group or sports club can use the card for end-of-season prizes. Because the gifts and party hats are fun, children tend to keep the voucher in a pocket until the day it is used. Write the reward on the paragraph line so that it fits in two short lines.
