Pack the Details Into the Gift
A trip is a big gift, and big gifts need clear details. Where are we going? How long? When? A card that only says “Vacation Gift Certificate” leaves all of that open. This travel template has dedicated fields for each, which turns a vague promise into a plan the recipient can look forward to.
From Purple Sky to Sandy Beach
The certificate is 3.375 x 2.125 inches in landscape, the size of a credit card. The left side is a rich purple that fades toward blue, with a torn, jagged edge. Through that edge you see a bright beach scene on the right: a traveller in a sun hat and backpack, pulling a suitcase, stands on sand with a palm tree, a small airplane flying above, and a turquoise sea inside a phone-shaped frame.
At the top left, a white icon of a luggage tag and plane sits next to the words TRAVEL LOGO. The heading Travel & Vaction is written in yellow, and Gift Certificate follows in a white script. Under them, six lines are arranged as To, From, Destination, Duration, Gift Amount and Travel Date, with the last four sharing rows.
Correct One Word Before Printing
The heading currently reads “Travel & Vaction.” Click it in the editor and retype it as “Travel & Vacation.” Travel gifts are often big purchases, and a spelling error on the card undermines trust.
Gift Ideas You Can Describe
- A weekend city break for two.
- A beach holiday package, with flights and hotel noted in the Destination line.
- A road trip fund, using the Gift Amount line.
- A staycation or a spa weekend booked locally.
For Travel Agencies and Hotels
Add your logo in place of TRAVEL LOGO, and put your booking website or phone number in the space near the bottom. If you sell a package, retype the Destination line to the package name. Click the photo and choose Replace Image to show your own location, resort or tour.
Dates and Terms
Travel certificates often have blackout dates or seasonal limits. Print them on the back by duplicating the page. Use the Travel Date line for a fixed trip and leave it blank for an open voucher that the recipient can book.
Printing the Purple and Blue Gradient
The purple and blue gradient looks richest on silk card stock, 250 to 300 gsm. Test a copy first, because purple can shift to blue. A glossy finish makes the sea look bright, but matte is easier to write on.
Examples for Different Budgets
A trip does not have to be expensive to be a good gift. A night in a nearby town, a train ticket to see family, a camping weekend or a day at a water park all fit the card. Write the destination and the duration, and let the Gift Amount line show the budget. Even a small gift feels like a plan when the details are printed and the recipient can start dreaming.
