A Cover for the Report That Closes an Internship
At the end of an internship, students and trainees write a report to show what they did and learned. This cover gives that report a clean start: a big green triangle over a photo of a monitor with a bar chart, a navy and green title, and a tall blue bar for the subtitle. It suits university internships, corporate trainee programmes and work placements.
Green Overlay and Rotated Text
The page is 8.5 x 11 inches, portrait, one page. A translucent green triangle covers the photo, and the placeholder line LOREM IPSUM DUMMY TEXT REPLACEMENT runs across it at an angle. A navy triangle points in from the right, and light diagonal lines fill the lower right. The shapes in the green internship cover are graphics. The photo is a picture that you can replace with an image of your workplace.
Title, Author and Subtitle Bar
INTERNSHIP appears in green and REPORT in navy at the upper right, followed by By: Name Surname. Top left, HEADLINE LOREM IPSUM is a small label for the company or department. A tall navy bar at the right reads SUB TITLE OF THE REPORT vertically. A paragraph of placeholder text sits at the lower centre, with a blue line and 20XX at the foot.
What an Internship Report Usually Includes
- The host organisation and your department.
- Dates, hours and your supervisor.
- Tasks you carried out, with examples.
- Skills learned and challenges met.
- Suggestions and a short conclusion.
Using the Placeholder Paragraph
The paragraph near the foot is a good place for the name of the host company and the internship period, such as Marketing Department, June to August. Keep it to two lines. Details that a supervisor or a teacher needs, such as student number, can go in the headline label.
Getting a Supervisor to Sign Off
Many schools ask for a supervisor signature or a stamp. Leave space on the first inside page for it, and ask your supervisor to read the report before you submit. A short comment from them can add credibility.
Editing and Printing the Green Internship Cover
The fonts are Teko and Poppins. Text edits freely. Print on 100 to 120 gsm paper in colour, or submit as a PDF. Check that the rotated line still fits after you edit it.
Reflecting on What You Learned
The best internship reports go beyond a list of tasks. Describe a challenge you faced, how you handled it and what you would do differently. Connect the experience to your course or career plans. Reflection shows maturity and earns better marks.
Step by Step Editing of the Green Internship Cover
- On the green internship cover, click the main title and type your own words, keeping the same style of capitals.
- Retype every name and contact line on the green internship cover, checking each spelling against an official source.
- Change the year or date on the green internship cover, then search the page for XX and for the word Lorem so that no placeholder remains.
- Click the logo or the photo on the green internship cover, choose Replace Image and resize the new picture until it fills its space.
- Zoom the green internship cover to full screen and read each line aloud, because spoken reading catches slips that silent reading misses.
- Keep a clean master of the green internship cover without your private details, so that later versions begin from a tidy copy.
