A Brush Stroke Cover for a Marketing Pitch
Agencies and consultants know that a proposal competes with several others on the same desk. This cover uses an expressive navy brush stroke, a faded world map and a bright cyan base to look confident and a little artistic. It is designed for a digital marketing proposal, but works for social media, branding and advertising pitches as well.
Brush Stroke, Map and Cyan Base
The page is 8.5 x 11 inches, portrait, one page. A rough navy brush shape fills the top left corner, and another sweeps behind the title as a band. A pale grey world map sits behind the lower half, hinting at global reach. A cyan strip with a brushed edge runs along the foot. All of these are graphics and stay as they are.
The Year and Title
A large 2022 stands above the title DIGITAL MARKETING PROPOSAL. That year is old sample text, so change it right away to the current year, or delete it. It is easy to forget, and an out of date year can make a proposal look recycled. The date line at the left shows March 21, 2026, so retype that as well.
Prepared For and Prepared By
At the upper right, PREPARED BY has a name and a cyan job title. Lower down, PREPARED FOR gives the client name, title, company, street address, phone and email. Put your own details in the first block and the client’s in the second. Use the name of the person who will sign the agreement, not just the company.
Customising the Title for Your Service
The first line, DIGITAL MARKETING, can be changed to Social Media, SEO, Paid Advertising or Brand Strategy. Keep the word PROPOSAL, which tells a reader what they hold. If the new words are long, reduce the font size.
What to Put After the Cover
- A one page summary with the client’s goal.
- Your analysis of their current presence.
- The plan, channel by channel, with timings.
- Measurement: what you will report and how often.
- Pricing and terms.
Editing Online for the Brush Stroke Cover
All text boxes can be edited. The map and brushes are fixed. If you add a client logo, place it beside the Prepared For block, and keep it small. A matching header in the next pages ties the document together.
Printing and Sending for the Brush Stroke Cover
Most proposals go out as PDFs, so check the brush edges at full screen. For a printed pitch, 170 gsm paper gives the colours depth, and a spiral binding keeps the pages flat for a meeting.
Case Studies That Back the Pitch
A marketing proposal is stronger when it contains proof. Add one page with a similar client, the problem they had, what you did and the result in numbers. Use the same navy and cyan colours so the page matches the cover. Avoid claiming results you cannot show, and ask the client for permission to name them.
