A Purple Cover With a Team Reading Code
A website proposal should show that the developer understands both design and code. This cover places a round photo of two colleagues at a monitor, with code on the screen, inside a purple shape. The mood is friendly and technical at once. It suits web studios, freelancers and software teams.
Purple Shapes and the Circle Window
The page is 8.5 x 11 inches, portrait, one page. A large purple area fills the top left and curves around a big white ringed circle that holds the photo. A darker plum shape sits under the ring at the right. All are graphics. The photo is replaceable, so use a team shot or a device mockup of the site.
Headline Text at the Top Left
In white on the purple, a spaced label reads | H E A D L I N E, with a short line, Lorem ipsum simply dummy text replacement, beneath. Replace the label with the client name or the project code, and the line with a one sentence promise. The spacing in the label is typed with spaces between letters, so delete them if you retype it.
Title and Subtitle
PREPARED BY : FIRST, LAST NAME sits above the title, WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT in bold purple and PROPOSAL in dark navy with a long line to the right. Under it, LOREM IPSUM SUB-TITLE HERE is purple. Use the subtitle for the client’s name or the type of site, for example Online store for Green Basket Foods.
A Typo to Correct
At the lower right, a heading reads TEXT REPLACEMNET, with the letter E missing. Replace the whole heading with real wording, such as Project Summary, so the mistake does not remain. A short paragraph of placeholder text follows. Use it for a two sentence description of the scope.
Year at the Lower Left
A large 20XX sits at the lower left, in purple. Enter the year. A tiny purple curve at the corner is part of the background.
Content Ideas for a Web Proposal
- Goals, audience and success measures.
- Site map and key features.
- Design approach and examples.
- Build phases, testing and launch plan.
- Support after launch and price.
Editing and Printing for the Purple Website Cover
The font is Roboto Condensed. All text edits freely. Export a PDF for email, and check the circle photo at full size. Print on 120 gsm for a meeting copy.
Content and Assets Clients Must Supply
Websites stall when text and images arrive late. List what the client provides, such as logo files, product photos and copy, with a date for each item. Say what happens to the schedule if materials are late. A short table avoids misunderstandings and keeps the project on track.
Naming the Project Phase
A phase label, such as Discovery or Build, can go in the subtitle line. It tells the client which stage the proposal covers and prevents the feeling that everything is being sold at once. Split large projects into phases with separate prices.
