A Cover Built Around One Rising Diagonal
A growth plan is about going up: more customers, more revenue, more capacity. The strongest idea on this cover is a thick diagonal stripe in black and yellow that climbs from the lower left to the upper right, with a rotated year printed on it. The design suits companies planning to scale, sales teams setting targets and founders presenting a growth strategy to a board or lender.
Yellow and Black Stripe With the Rotated Year
The page is 8.5 x 11 inches, portrait, one page. A black band with a rounded bump and a yellow band with a pill shaped end run diagonally from the lower left to the upper right. On the yellow end, 20XX is set in large black capitals, tilted along the stripe, with the date Jan 15, 202X printed on a smaller slant above it. The graphics stay fixed. The text on them can be edited.
Title Text at the Upper Left
In the upper left, GROWTH is set in a lighter line above BUSINESS PLAN in heavy black type. Replace GROWTH with another word if needed, for example SCALING or REVENUE, and keep the words short. A SAMPLE LOGO in yellow and black sits to the right.
Prepared For Block for the Growth Plan Cover
Lower on the page, PREPARED FOR: appears in bold, followed by COMPANY NAME in yellow, a named contact with title, address, two numbers and an email. A grey paragraph of placeholder text sits at the foot. Use the paragraph to state the growth target in one sentence, such as Reach 5 million in annual revenue by 2028.
Setting Growth Targets That Look Credible
- Base each target on current numbers, not guesses.
- Show the steps: new customers, higher prices, new products.
- State the investment needed for each step.
- Name the person who owns each target.
Two Dates to Keep Straight
The cover has a date and a year. The date shows when the plan was written, and 20XX shows the planning period or the target year. Make sure they are not confused. If your plan covers 2027 to 2029, write that range in the large text.
Printing the Bold Stripe for the Growth Plan Cover
The black band prints heavily. A colour laser on 120 gsm paper is a good choice. For a shop print, ask for full bleed.
Checking That Growth Is Healthy
Fast growth can strain cash, staff and quality. Add a short section that shows how you will hire, train and fund the growth without losing standards. Include warning signs such as late deliveries or rising complaints, and state what you will do if they appear. Readers trust plans that see the risks.
Adding a Short Executive Summary
Place a half page summary right after the cover with the target, the main actions and the investment needed. A reader who has only two minutes can then judge the plan, and a reader with more time knows what to look for.
