Fall Farm Attractions Need Weekday Traffic
Pumpkin patches and corn mazes are busy on weekends and nearly empty on a Tuesday afternoon. A small admission coupon is one of the best tools to change that. Offered through schools, local shops and your own social media, it gives families a reason to come on a quieter day, which spreads the crowd and keeps the experience pleasant for everyone.
A Look at the Coupon
The coupon is 6 x 3 inches in landscape. A warm gradient from amber to orange fills the background, with a delicate white spider web stretched across the lower left. Three carved jack-o’-lanterns with glowing faces sit on the web, and the largest is in the centre. On the right, PUMPKIN PATCH OR CORN MAZE is set in heavy black capitals, with Coupon in white script beneath it. A small orange bar shows COUPON CODE: FALLFUN15.
Below it, a large black 15 and a percent sign flank the word SAVE, and the line ON ADMISSION! completes the offer. A short paragraph reads: Enjoy a day of fall fun at [Name of Pumpkin Patch or Corn Maze]. This coupon grants you 15% off the regular admission price. The footer carries an Expires line, and a QR code tile sits at the bottom right. The fonts are Barlow and Alex Brush.
Customising for Your Farm
- Replace the bracketed name with your farm or attraction.
- Change the heading if you offer only one thing, such as Corn Maze or Pumpkin Picking.
- Retype the Expires date, which is a placeholder.
- Keep the code consistent with your ticket system.
- Replace the QR code with a link to your booking page.
What Counts as Admission?
The coupon says 15 percent off the regular admission price. Clarify what that includes. Does it cover the hayride, the petting zoo and the pumpkin, or only entry? Is it per person or per car? A short extra line, such as “Valid for up to six people per vehicle,” prevents confusion at the gate on a busy Saturday.
Weather and Rain Dates
Outdoor attractions close on bad weather days. Add a line saying whether the coupon can be used on another day if the farm is closed, and give a website or phone number for updates. Guests appreciate knowing that the coupon will not be wasted.
Where to Distribute
- Schools and nurseries, with permission from staff.
- Libraries, cafes and farm shops in nearby towns.
- Local newspapers or community pages as a printable image.
- Email to previous customers before the season opens.
Printing the Fall Coupon
The glowing orange background prints well on bright white card stock of 200 to 250 gsm. A letter sheet holds three coupons in a single column. Test one copy first to see how the pumpkin faces look. Since the coupon will be handled outdoors, a light matte laminate or a varnish helps it survive damp weather.
