Seven Questions Before You Print a Black Friday Coupon
1. What is the offer, exactly?
This template shows 75% OFF in a big ring. Decide whether that is across the shop, on a department or on a handful of items. If the offer is limited, say so under the badge, because customers read the number first and the conditions later.
2. Is the discount real?
A 75 percent claim needs to hold up. Check that the “before” price was a genuine selling price and that you have stock to match the demand. Many countries have rules about misleading price claims.
3. What does the coupon look like?
It is 6 x 2.5 inches in landscape. The background is near black with a faint dot grid at the top left. A diagonal brush stroke in hot pink cuts across the card, with SUPER in pink, BLACK FRIDAY in white and SALE in huge white capitals running along it. At the right, a white ring with a pink arc holds 75% OFF in black. The SAMPLE LOGO sits at the top right, and a QR code is at the lower right.
4. What about the date?
The vertical text near the ring reads Valid Until: Nov 15, 20XX. The 20XX is a placeholder year, and mid November is early for Black Friday in many years, so retype it. For 2026, Black Friday is 27 November. If your sale starts earlier, say so, and if it ends on Cyber Monday, write that date.
5. What goes in the small paragraph?
A line at the bottom shows Latin filler. Use it for the conditions: “In store and online. While stocks last. Not combined with other offers.” Keep it to two lines, in readable type.
6. How do I use the QR code?
The QR is a sample picture. Replace it with a code that goes to your sale page, and test it with a phone. If you cannot make a code, delete the picture and add your web address in text.
7. How should I print and hand out?
Print on 200 to 250 gsm card stock. Black backgrounds use plenty of ink, so test a copy and use a laser printer or print shop for many. At this size, four coupons fit down a letter sheet with slim margins. Hand them out with purchases in the weeks before, and post a photo online.
7b. What if customers ask for the discount later?
Decide before the sale how you will handle people who come back after the expiry date. Some shops honour the coupon for a day or two as goodwill, and some do not. Whatever you choose, apply it consistently, and tell staff, so that nobody is treated unfairly.
8. Where are other Black Friday designs?
Social Media and Email Versions
Many shops use a coupon like this mainly online. Download the PNG version and post it as a story or an email banner, and cut away the QR code if your platform already links to your shop. Add the code in the caption so people can copy it. Because the pink brush stroke is bold, the image still reads clearly at thumbnail size, which is how most people will first see it.
