Early childhood educators shape the first classroom experiences children ever have, and they deserve a hiring flyer that reflects the joy of that work. This Preschool Teacher Hiring Flyer is as bright as a well-stocked art corner. Rows of colourful crayons hang along the top edge and stand along the bottom like a fence, a blob-shaped photo of your classroom sits on a sunny yellow splash, and the headline We’re hiring! leads into Preschool Teachers in soft, rounded letters. Perks are marked with coloured dots, and a stack of wooden ABC blocks sits in the lower corner. It suits childcare centres, preschools, Head Start programmes, Montessori schools, church-based daycares and after-school programmes.

Playful on Purpose, Professional in the Details

A daycare flyer needs to attract two audiences at once: teachers who will love working with young children, and parents who might see the flyer and judge the centre by it. The design balances both. Crayons and blocks set a cheerful tone, while the clear hierarchy, specific pay range, and qualification list show a well-run programme that takes early education seriously.

Crayons, Blob Photo and Blocks: The Page Tour

  • Crayon borders: twenty crayons in seven colours along the top, tips pointing down, and a matching row along the bottom pointing up, each row grouped as a single object.
  • Headline:We’re hiring! in coral, Preschool Teachers in navy Fredoka One, and & Assistant Teachers · Toddler Room Lead in grey.
  • Perks with coloured dots: $18-22/hr based on experience, free childcare for your own kids, CDA and degree tuition help, planning time every day, and small ratios with big hugs.
  • Photo: an organic blob-shaped photo slot with a white border, sitting on a slightly larger yellow blob.
  • YOU’LL NEED: a CDA, early-childhood degree or 12 or more ECE credits (or working toward one), CPR and first aid (which the centre will certify), and a big heart and endless patience.
  • Invitation:Come visit for a tour & chat! in coral, with the centre’s name, phone number and careers link.
  • ABC blocks: three wooden toy blocks with visible top and side faces, in pink, teal and blue, with A, B and C on the fronts.
  • Branding: our small logo near the blocks.

This flyer is laid out on an 8.5 x 11 inch US Letter page, portrait.

Qualifications and Ratios: Know Your State’s Rules

Childcare staffing is regulated by each state, and requirements differ for lead teachers, assistant teachers, and aides, and for infant, toddler, and preschool rooms. Before printing, check your state licensing standards and make the YOU’LL NEED list match them exactly. A few general points to guide the wording:

  • Lead teacher requirements often include a CDA credential, an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or a set number of ECE college credits plus experience.
  • Assistant teachers may need a high school diploma and enrolment in training within a set period.
  • Background checks, fingerprinting and health screenings are standard for all staff.
  • Ratios (children per adult) are set by age group; if your centre operates below the required ratio, small ratios are a genuine selling point.

Personalising the Daycare Flyer

  1. Photo: click the blob and choose Replace Image. A photo of your classroom, art corner or playground without identifiable children is safest; if children appear, get written parental consent.
  2. Headline and roles: change Preschool Teachers to Infant Teachers, Toddler Teachers, or After-School Staff, and update the roles line beneath.
  3. Perks: each dot and line is separate; keep lines short so they stay on one line.
  4. Requirements: rewrite the YOU’LL NEED lines to match your state and centre policies.
  5. Contact: type your centre’s name, phone number, and careers page.
  6. Blocks and crayons: recolour them to your centre’s palette, or change the letters on the blocks to your centre’s initials.

Why a Tour Invitation Recruits Better

For early childhood educators, the feel of a classroom matters enormously: the noise level, the way staff speak to children, the materials on the shelves. Inviting candidates to come visit for a tour & chat rather than submit an application lowers the barrier and lets your centre sell itself. During the tour, introduce the director and a lead teacher, show the planning space and staff room, and explain your curriculum. Many centres find that candidates who visit first are far more likely to accept an offer and to stay through the difficult first months, when turnover in childcare is highest.

Pay, Benefits and the Childcare Workforce

Early educators are among the lowest-paid professionals in education, which makes every benefit you offer matter. Free or heavily discounted childcare for staff is often the most valuable perk of all, easily worth thousands of dollars a year to a parent. Tuition help toward a CDA or degree lets teachers raise their qualifications and their pay. Paid planning time, paid holidays when the centre closes, and a clear raise schedule tied to credentials show that you value professional growth. If your state runs wage supplement or bonus programmes for early educators, mention that eligible staff can apply; it can meaningfully raise take-home pay.

Spreading the Word Among Early Educators

  • Early childhood education programmes at community colleges and universities.
  • Your local child care resource and referral agency.
  • Libraries, children’s museums and family centres.
  • Your own parent community, via your newsletter or parent app.
  • Early educator groups on social media, using the PNG download.

Printing Bright Colours Well

Print from the PDF download on bright white paper so the crayon colours stay vivid. The cream background uses very little ink, so the flyer prints economically even in large batches. For your lobby or front door, a laminated copy survives small hands and sticky fingers.

Centre Director Questions

Can I list openings for several age groups?

Yes. Change the roles line under the headline, or add a short list below the perks, such as Infant room · Toddler room · Pre-K.

Are the crayons one object?

Each row of crayons is a single group, so it moves and recolours as one. You can ungroup it if you want to change individual crayon colours.

Can I add a QR code for applications?

Add one with the editor’s QR tool and place it beside the contact details, above the bottom crayon row.

Open the template, add a photo of your classroom, set your pay and requirements, and invite your next favourite teacher in for a tour.
