This UK calendar for 2027 shows the whole year on one landscape page, with weeks starting on Monday as most people in Britain prefer. A navy header with a red stripe carries the title UK Calendar 2027 and the note Bank Holidays, Monday Start. Twelve mini months in a four-by-three grid fill most of the page, each with a navy month band and pale blue weekend columns. On the right, a white panel lists every England and Wales bank holiday for 2027 in a neat table, from New Year’s Day to the substitute days after Christmas, with a short note about Scotland and Northern Ireland.
England and Wales Bank Holiday Dates for 2027
England and Wales have eight bank holidays in 2027: New Year’s Day on Friday 1 January, Good Friday on 26 March, Easter Monday on 29 March, the early May bank holiday on 3 May, the spring bank holiday on 31 May and the summer bank holiday on 30 August. Christmas Day falls on a Saturday and Boxing Day on a Sunday, so the substitute bank holidays are Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 December.
Scotland and Northern Ireland Bank Holidays
Scotland has some different bank holidays, including 2 January and St Andrew’s Day, and uses the first Monday in August for its summer holiday. Northern Ireland adds St Patrick’s Day and the Battle of the Boyne holiday in July. The holiday table is editable, so you can add or replace rows for your part of the UK.
Why a Monday Start Calendar
In the UK and much of Europe, the working week begins on Monday and the weekend sits together at the end of each row. A Monday start makes weekends easy to spot and matches most British diaries and work rotas. If you prefer Sunday first, change the week start in Calendar Options.
The Year at a Glance Layout
Seeing all twelve months together helps with long-range planning: booking holidays around bank holidays, planning school term breaks, scheduling projects and remembering birthdays. The calendar is a single editable Calendar object, so the year, week start, and colours can be changed in one place.
Planning Long Weekends Around Bank Holidays
Bank holidays are perfect for short breaks. In 2027, Easter gives a four-day weekend from 26 to 29 March, and the late December substitute days create a long festive break. Booking one or two days of annual leave next to a bank holiday can turn a long weekend into a full week off.
UK Calendar for Offices and HR
HR teams and managers can pin the calendar on a noticeboard so staff can see bank holidays when requesting leave. Pair it with the employee leave calendar in our collection to track who is away and when.
UK Calendar for Schools and Families
Families can mark school half terms, holidays and birthdays on the printed page. The clear grid works well on the fridge, and older children can use it to count down to trips or exams.
Editing the Bank Holiday Table
The table on the right has a date column and a holiday column. Edit any cell to correct dates, add regional holidays, or include personal dates such as company closure days. Add rows if you need more space.
Navy and Red Design
The navy header and red stripe echo classic British colours without overpowering the page. Change the header colour, month bands or weekend shading to match your brand or home office.
Printing the UK Calendar 2027
The calendar is designed in US Letter landscape, which prints well on A4 using the Fit to page option. Choose landscape orientation in your printer settings. For a wall calendar, print on thicker paper or ask a print shop to enlarge it to A3.
Using the Calendar Digitally
Download a PNG to use as a desktop wallpaper or share in a team channel. A digital copy is handy for quick checks when planning meetings or booking time off.
Other 2027 Calendars in the Collection
Our collection also includes 2027 calendars for Canada and Australia, a week number calendar, a vertical year planner, and monthly calendars. Together they cover most planning needs for the year ahead.
Saving the UK Calendar Template
Save the calendar in your account. In future years, change the year in Calendar Options and update the bank holiday table with the new dates from gov.uk.
UK Calendar File Formats
Download a PDF for printing or an image for screens. The twelve months and the holiday table keep their layout in every format.
Checking Official Bank Holiday Dates
Bank holidays can occasionally change, for example, for a royal event. Always confirm dates on the official gov.uk bank holidays page before booking travel or closing a business, and update the table if anything changes.
Marking Personal Dates on the Year View
After printing, circle birthdays, anniversaries, school holidays and travel dates with coloured pens. A colour key in the bottom corner, such as red for birthdays and green for holidays, keeps the year view tidy and easy to read.
Easter 2027 in the UK
Easter Sunday falls on 28 March in 2027, earlier than in many years. That means the Easter bank holidays land at the end of March rather than in April, which affects school holiday dates, spring travel plans and business closures. Check your school’s term dates, as some schools align the Easter holidays with the bank holidays and others keep a fixed April break.
UK Calendar for Small Businesses
Shops, salons, trades and offices can use the year view to plan opening hours, staff rotas and seasonal promotions around bank holidays. Pair it with a holiday hours sign from our collection to let customers know when you are closed.
Displaying the Year Calendar at Work
Pin the printed year view beside the office diary or reception desk so anyone can check bank holidays at a glance.
UK Calendar for Clubs and Charities
Sports clubs, churches and charities can use the year view to plan events around bank holidays, when volunteers are often free, and community events attract bigger crowds.
