More and more people would rather receive a memory than another object. Concert tickets, a cooking class, a day on the slopes, or simply an afternoon together do not need a shelf, a drawer, or a gift receipt, and they are often remembered long after most presents are forgotten. If you have everything you need, an experience wish list is a gentle way to tell your family. This template presents each wish as an admission ticket.

Five Tickets Under a Starry Sky

The page is US Letter portrait, 8.5 x 11 inches, in deep midnight blue scattered with tiny white stars. At the top, MAKE MEMORIES, NOT CLUTTER is set in tall gold Bebas Neue capitals, with My Experience Wish List in cream DM Serif Display italics and a handwritten from: Alex · Christmas 2026.

Below, five cream admission tickets are stacked down the page, slightly staggered left and right. Each has a coloured stub edge on the left (coral, gold, teal, lavender and pink), round notches cut into both sides like a real ticket, and a dashed perforation line before the stub on the right, which carries a large ticket number from 01 to 05. On each ticket, a small “Admit Two” line names the category, and a handwritten line describes the experience:

  • Date Night: dinner at the new Italian place and a movie;
  • Live Music: two tickets to a jazz concert;
  • Learn Something: a pottery or cooking class for two;
  • Adventure: a ski day or a hot-air balloon ride;
  • Relax: a spa day with a massage.

Experience Gifts Christmas Wish List

A closing handwritten line suggests …or simply gift me your time: a walk, a game night, a day together, above a thin gold rule. Two small gold ticket icons flank our logo at the bottom.

How to Wrap an Experience

An experience can still be fun to unwrap. If someone gives you a gift from your list, they might print or write the details inside a card, tuck tickets into a small box with a related item (a paintbrush for a painting class, ski socks for a ski day), or make a voucher with the date and time. Your list helps them choose the experience; the wrapping is where their creativity comes in.

Filling In Your Tickets

  1. Click the from line and type your name and the year.
  2. Click each category label to rename it. Admit Two can become Admit One, Family Pass, or Admit Four.
  3. Click the handwritten line on each ticket and describe the experience. Be as specific as helps: a named restaurant, a band you love, a class near you.
  4. Edit the closing line or replace it with a note such as Gift cards for any of these are perfect too.
  5. Recolour the stubs and numbers to your favourite colours; each ticket is made of simple shapes you can restyle.

The number on each ticket stub is ordinary text, so it can also show a rough price range or a month instead, like MAR for an experience you’d love in spring.

Why Choose Experiences?

Experience gifts suit people who are downsizing, living in small homes or travelling a lot, and anyone who simply values time over things. They are often easy to share, too: a cooking class for two becomes a gift for the giver as well. Many experiences can be booked for a date that suits you both, which spreads the Christmas joy into the new year. And for relatives who worry about choosing the “wrong” present, an experience you have asked for takes the guesswork away.

Sharing Your Experience List

Send a PNG to your family chat, or a PDF by email. If several relatives want to contribute, suggest that they chip in together for one bigger experience, such as a weekend away. It helps to add a sentence about availability, like weekends in February are best, so tickets are not bought for a date you cannot make.

Printing on a Dark Background

The midnight background uses a lot of ink, so this list is ideal to share digitally. If you do print it, choose a colour printer, US Letter at actual size (or fit to A4) and a matte paper, which shows deep colours well without glare.

Planning the Experiences Together

An experience gift is only half finished when it is unwrapped. The best ones are booked for a real date soon after Christmas, so they don’t sit in a drawer until the voucher expires. Agree on a month for each ticket when the gift is given, put it in both calendars, and check the booking rules, such as how far in advance to reserve and whether dates can be changed. For outdoor adventures, choose a season that suits the activity, and keep a backup date in case of bad weather. Taking a photo on the day and adding it to a family album turns the experience into a lasting keepsake.

Experience List Questions

Can I include non-paid experiences?

Absolutely. A walk together, a family game night, or help with a project are some of the most meaningful gifts of all.

Can I add more tickets?

Yes. Copy a ticket, paste it, and move it into place, or shorten the gaps between them.

Give Me Memories This Christmas

Fill in your five tickets, share the list, and look forward to a year of days out, evenings in, and moments you will talk about for a long time.
