Stories are where many shoppers first hear about a festival offer, between a cousin’s rangoli and a friend’s new outfit. Step 1: Pick the Product for the Arch
The centre of the story is a large onion dome arch in gold, the kind of arch you see on palace windows and temple doors, and inside it is a photo slot. Choose one product that represents the offer: a best-selling kurta, a jewellery set, a sweet box, a home decor piece, or a gift hamper. A vertical photo with the product in the middle fills the arch best. Click the arch, choose Replace Image, and upload your photo.
Step 2: Set the Offer
Two lines sell the offer. Festive Offer is written in flowing gold Great Vibes script near the top, and FLAT 25% OFF is set in tall ivory Bebas Neue capitals beneath it. Click the second line to type your own discount. Keep it short: three or four words is the most a story viewer will read before tapping on. Step 3: Add the Deadline and Call to Action
OFFER ENDS NOVEMBER 8 sits in gold spaced capitals, and an ivory pill says SHOP NOW · LINK IN BIO. If you use the story link sticker, change the pill to TAP THE LINK and place the sticker over or beside it when you post. If customers order by message, change it to REPLY TO ORDER.
Step 4: Check the Safe Zones
Instagram covers parts of every story with its own interface. The profile name and close button sit at the top, and the reply bar and stickers sit at the bottom. This design keeps the important content in the middle.

If you add text, keep it inside the middle area so nothing is hidden.
Step 5: Download and Post
Download a PNG at the full 1080 x 1920 size and upload it as a story from your phone. Add the link sticker if you use one, and consider adding the story to a Diwali highlight on your profile so new visitors can find the offer until it ends.
The Emerald Story Design Up Close
The background is a deep emerald green, a colour associated with prosperity and a refreshing change from the reds and oranges of most Diwali sale graphics. Two star-shaped paper lanterns, an orange kandil on the left and a pink one on the right, hang from the top edge at different lengths. The gold arch frames your product, its pointed top echoing traditional Indian architecture. Turning One Story Into a Sequence
A single story is easy to miss. Many shops post a short sequence over the sale period:

- Midweek: the same design with a different product in the arch and a line such as New arrivals added.
- Dhanteras: change the offer to a Dhanteras special if you sell gold, silver, utensils, or electronics.

Matching the Story to Your Brand
Click the background to change the emerald to your brand colour. Dark colours keep the ivory and gold text readable: navy, plum, maroon and charcoal all work. Is the arch shape fixed?
