Questions People Ask About This Navy Certificate
Is it formal enough for a company or school?
Yes. The dark navy background, thin double gold frame and curled gold corners give it the weight of a formal document. It suits award evenings, long service presentations and end of year ceremonies. It is also quiet enough that it will not look out of place next to a handshake photo.
What size is it?
It is A4 landscape, 297 x 210 mm. That fits standard office printers and ordinary A4 frames, which are easy to buy for presentation.
What is on the page?
The top shows CERTIFICATE in large white capitals. Under it, a wide band fades from dark to gold on both sides of the words of appreciation, like a ribbon. Then comes the line This certificate is proudly presented to, followed by the recipient name, LAWRANCE BRADLEY, in gold capitals. A paragraph in white text follows. In the lower left, a gold rosette with a star in a circle marks the award. Date and Signature lines sit in the centre. Scroll flourishes in gold decorate the top left, top right and bottom left corners, and the bottom right has a fine thin curl.
Which parts can I edit?
The recipient name, the paragraph, the line of introduction, the words Date and Signature and the heading are text. The frame, the corners and the rosette are artwork. If you want to change the heading to Certificate of Achievement, retype of appreciation.
How should I write the paragraph?
Think of it as a short citation. Begin with what the person did, give one detail, and end with the effect on others. For example: “For leading the volunteer team through three major events this year with calm and good humour. Your guidance made every guest feel welcome.” Two or three sentences suit the space.
Does white text print well on dark blue?
Yes, but test first. A large dark area needs plenty of ink, and cheaper inkjet printers may leave faint streaks. Use matte paper of 120 to 200 gsm, and print on the best quality setting. A laser printer or a print shop will give the deepest navy. Let the page dry fully before handling.
What pen should be used for the signature?
The Date and Signature lines are in white on navy, so a white or gold gel pen is the right choice for signing by hand. A black pen will disappear. If that is awkward, print the certificate with the name and date typed and ask the signer to sign a small label stuck on the line.
Can I present it in a frame?
Yes. A black or gold A4 frame suits it well. Choose glass rather than plastic if you can, because dark designs show scratches. Place it so that it avoids direct sunlight, which fades inks.
