A DJ at the Decks Under Coloured Lights
The silhouette of a DJ with headphones stands over the decks with a crowd of raised hands in front, lit by blobs of green, blue and orange light. A bold yellow DJ and a white script Party sit over the figure. The date and a purple strip with the featured DJ follow in white. It is a night club style card.
Silhouette Scene, Title and Detail Block
The card is 5 x 7 inches, portrait, one page. The curved line YOU ARE INVITED TO A frames the top. The lower dark panel holds the date, the purple strip, the address and RSVP, and ends with SEE YOU THERE!
Date, Guest DJ and Venue
The sample gives MAY 17 | 9:00 PM, FEATURING DJ CHRISTIANSEN and a venue on the 4th floor of a building. Replace the DJ name with your own, add the year, and write the full address with the floor. Add an age limit if it applies, such as 18 and over, because it matters at night events.
Details Guests Need at a DJ Night
- The DJ name.
- Start and end times.
- Age limit.
- Entry fee or free entry.
- Dress code.
Handling Entry and Tickets
If the party sells tickets, add a line with the price and where to buy. A free entry note also draws a crowd, so say so on the card.
Setting an End Time
Night events often run late. Add Until 2 AM so that guests can plan their trip home and neighbours know when the music stops.
Printing Dark Cards
Dark cards need a good printer. Use satin card stock and check that the coloured lights keep their glow in a test print.
Sharing the DJ Invitation
Post it as an image on social media, and send it to a group chat.
