LinkedIn is not Instagram. The people scrolling it are colleagues, clients, recruiters, and investors, and festival posts that look like party flyers can feel out of place. Yet Diwali is one of the most widely celebrated festivals among professionals worldwide, and a thoughtful greeting from a company or a leader is welcome. This square template is designed for that audience: quiet, editorial, confident.

A Different Tone for a Professional Feed

The design borrows from magazine layouts rather than festival posters. The background is a soft ivory. A fine gold rule runs down the left side like the margin of a printed page. DIWALI 2026 sits at the top in small-spaced gold capitals, then Happy in navy Playfair Display italic, and Diwali in very large navy Playfair Display bold. A four-line message in Lora follows, then a sign-off in bold Montserrat, your company logo, and, in the lower right, a large brass diya with a lit flame and a soft glow. The Office Templates Online mark sits under the logo frame in a muted taupe.

There is no rangoli, no fireworks, no garland. The single diya carries the festival, and the generous white space signals calm and confidence.

What to Write in a LinkedIn Diwali Post

The image holds the greeting; the post text around it is where you speak. Professional Diwali posts work best when they are short, sincere, and specific. Some approaches:

  • Gratitude: Thank clients and colleagues for the year, without turning it into a business update.
  • Meaning: Share in a sentence what the festival of lights means to you or your team: renewal, light over darkness, time with family.
  • Team: Mention how your team is celebrating, such as an office diya lighting or a rangoli contest, if it is genuine.
  • Inclusion: Acknowledge colleagues who celebrate Diwali, Bandi Chhor Divas, or the Jain and Newar observances that fall at the same time.

Example Post Texts

Posting asExample text to accompany the image
A company pageWishing everyone celebrating a happy and bright Diwali. Thank you to our clients and partners for a year of trust and good work together.
A founder or CEODiwali has always been about new beginnings in my family. This year I am grateful to a team that made a hard year feel lighter. Happy Diwali to all who celebrate.
An HR or people teamOur office lit its first diyas this morning. Happy Diwali to our colleagues around the world and their families.
A recruiter or consultantTo every candidate and client I worked with this year, may the festival of lights bring clarity and good fortune. Happy Diwali.

Editing the Image

  1. Click the message paragraph and type your own words. Four lines at the current size is the comfortable maximum.
  2. Replace Warm wishes from the team at Northwind Consulting with your company or your name. It is set to wrap over two lines beside the diya.
  3. Click the logo frame, choose Replace Image, and upload your logo. A transparent PNG looks best on ivory.
  4. Change DIWALI 2026 if you want, for example, to SEASON’S GREETINGS for a broader audience.
  5. Download a PNG at 1200 x 1200 pixels.

Why a Square Format for LinkedIn

LinkedIn displays square images at full size in the feed on both desktop and mobile without cropping. Portrait images can be trimmed in some views, and wide images look small on phones. At 1200 x 1200 pixels, the image is large enough to stay crisp on high-resolution screens.

Accessibility and Alt Text

LinkedIn lets you add alternative text to an image. Use it. Something like Happy Diwali in navy lettering with a lit brass diya from Northwind Consulting helps colleagues who use screen readers and shows care for an inclusive feed. Also make sure the key greeting appears in your post text, not only in the image.

Matching the LinkedIn Post to Your Brand

Navy and gold suit consulting, finance, and law. To match your brand, change the colour of the Happy and Diwali lines and the sign-off to your primary dark colour, and the gold rule and DIWALI 2026 line to your accent colour. The brass diya is editable vector art; select it to adjust its colour swatches if gold clashes with your palette, for example, making the body silver for a cool-toned brand. Keep the background light; the editorial feel depends on it.

Best Days to Share Diwali Wishes on LinkedIn

Diwali falls on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Since many professionals check LinkedIn less on weekends, posting on Friday, November 6 (Dhanteras) or Monday, November 9 can reach more people. Your own page analytics will show when your followers are most active.

LinkedIn Diwali Post Questions

Is it appropriate for a company that is not Indian?

Yes. Many global companies have colleagues and clients who celebrate. A respectful greeting is usually appreciated; avoid using the festival to sell.

Can I use the same image on other platforms?

The square works on Facebook, Instagram, and X as well. For stories, the WhatsApp status greeting in this collection is the right size.

Can I add a team photo?

Replace the diya with a rectangle from the Elements panel and use Replace Image to add a team photo. Keep the white space around it.

Writing as a Leader Without Sounding Corporate

Posts from founders and managers are read more closely than company posts, and festival greetings are a chance to sound human. Write the post text in the first person, mention one real moment from the year, and avoid business jargon such as synergy, stakeholders, or deliverables. If you do not celebrate Diwali yourself, it is fine to say so and simply wish colleagues who do a joyful festival. Honesty reads better than borrowed enthusiasm on a professional network.

Pairing the Post With an Internal Message

A public greeting means more when colleagues also hear from leadership directly. Share the same image in your internal chat or intranet with a short note about any office closure or celebration, so the team sees that the wishes on LinkedIn reflect how the company treats its own people during the festival.

Wish Your Network Well

Add your logo and a few honest words, download the square, and post it. A quiet, well-designed greeting often says more about a company’s culture than any announcement.
