Some plans do not fit inside a single year: a house move, a wedding, a degree, a contract, a pregnancy, or a big trip. A two-year calendar shows both years at once, so you can count months across the new-year line without flipping pages. Here are the questions people most often ask about it.

What Does the Two-Year Page Show?

The page is US Letter landscape, 11 x 8.5 inches, on a clean white background. At the top, TWO-YEAR CALENDAR is set in widely spaced capitals. Under it, a timeline runs across the page: a navy line with dots for Q1 to Q4 of 2027, then a terracotta line with dots for Q1 to Q4 of 2028, ending in an arrowhead. Below are two full-year calendars side by side, 2027 on the left with a navy title bar and 2028 on the right with a terracotta title bar. A fine dotted line separates them. At the foot, the timeline appears again in miniature, on either side of the OTO logo.

How Are the Months Laid Out?

Each year shows twelve mini months in three columns and four rows, with the month names in the year’s colour, single-letter weekday initials, and weekends shaded in a warm grey with coloured numbers. The months are small but clear, sized for circling dates and marking ranges with a highlighter rather than writing notes.

Why Is the Quarter Timeline There?

The timeline turns the page into a planning tool. It shows the eight quarters ahead as one continuous line, so you can see that a project starting in Q3 2027 and lasting a year ends in Q3 2028. Mark milestones on the timeline with small arrows or stickers, or write short labels above the dots. Businesses use it to sketch quarterly goals; families use it to place big events such as a move or a new baby.

Who Uses a Two-Year Calendar?

UserTypical use
StudentsTwo academic years, exam seasons and holidays
CouplesWedding planning that crosses the new year
ParentsDue dates, parental leave and school starts
BusinessesContracts, budgets and eight-quarter roadmaps
HomeownersRenovations, mortgage deals and moves
TravellersLong trips, visas and passport renewals

Can I Change the Years?

Yes. Each year is a separate Calendar object in the editor’s Full Year style. Click one, open Calendar Options and set the year; all twelve months rebuild with the right dates and the title bar updates. For 2028–2029, change the left calendar to 2028 and the right one to 2029. You can also start the weeks on Monday and choose a different font. Remember to update the year labels on the timeline if you change them.

Can I Swap the Navy and Terracotta for Other Year Colours?

The navy and terracotta pair gives each year its own identity while still looking calm together. Change the title bar, month name and weekend colours in Calendar Options for each year, then recolour the matching timeline segments, which are grouped shapes. Popular alternatives are forest green and mustard, plum and blush, or black and grey for a minimal office look.

How Do I Mark Long Date Ranges?

Use a highlighter to run across consecutive days inside a month, and draw a small arrow from the end of one month to the start of the next. For ranges that cross into the second year, carry the colour from December 2027 on the left to January 2028 on the right, so the gap across the page is obvious. Use one colour per person or project and add a small key in the margin.

What Happens at the Change of Year?

The point where 2027 ends and 2028 begins is exactly where single-year calendars let you down. Plans that start in autumn, such as a school year, a twelve-month lease or a winter project, get split across two separate pages. Here, December 2027 and January 2028 sit on the same sheet, so you can count months across the gap at a glance. A lease from September 1, 2027 to August 31, 2028, for example, can be highlighted in one colour from the left calendar into the right one.

Does 2028 Have Anything Special?

Yes, 2028 is a leap year, so February 2028 has 29 days, and the calendar shows them automatically. If you are planning anything for the end of February 2028, double-check the extra day. Leap years also shift every date in March onwards by an extra weekday compared with an ordinary year, which is why the same date falls on different days of the week in each year.

Is It Big Enough to Write On?

The page favours overview over detail. It is ideal for circling dates, marking ranges and writing a few labels in the margins, but not for daily appointments. Many people pair it with a monthly calendar: the two-year page for the big picture, monthly pages for the details. If you need more space, print at tabloid size (11 x 17 inches); the layout scales cleanly.

Where Should I Put It?

A two-year calendar works best where you plan: above a desk, inside a planner cover or on a home office wall. Businesses pin it in meeting rooms next to the project board. Students keep it at the front of a ring binder for the whole course.

Wherever it goes, put it at eye level and keep a highlighter beside it. A long-range calendar only helps when you look at it regularly, ideally at the start of each month, to check what is coming up over the next two quarters.

How Do I Print It?

Download the PDF and print in landscape at 100% on letter paper, or scale to A4 or tabloid. The white background keeps ink use low. For a durable desk reference, print on card and laminate it, then use dry-wipe markers so plans can change without reprinting.

Which Fonts Does It Use?

Everything is set in Montserrat, a clean geometric Google Font that stays readable at small sizes. You can choose any other Google font for the calendars in Calendar Options and for the title in the text tools.

Two years, one page and eight quarters in a straight line. Plan the long view with confidence.
