A Sunny Beach Scene With a Surf Car and Umbrella
A bright sun and white clouds sit over a sky blue page, and the script word Beach in orange and green sits above the capitals PARTY with a palm tree and a hibiscus. At the foot, a small orange car with surfboards, a beach umbrella and a lounge chair stand on sand. The mood is relaxed and sunny.
Sun, Title Lettering, Date Bar and Beach Scene
The card is 5 x 7 inches, portrait, one page. The curved line YOU’RE INVITED TO A sits above the title. A green bar holds the date and time. The resort name, address and RSVP number follow in dark type, and SEE YOU THERE! ends in green.
Date, Venue and a Friendly Close
The sample gives July 26, 20XX, 8:00 PM, at The Lorem Ipsum Beach Resort, with a street address and an RSVP number. Replace 20XX and the resort, and add a dress hint such as Swimwear and sandals. The date bar uses a dash between the date and the time, so retype it if you want a cleaner look.
Making the Beach Invitation Practical
- Replace the year and the resort.
- Add a dress hint.
- Mention towels or sunscreen.
- Add parking or a ferry note.
- Give an RSVP date.
Planning Around the Weather
Beach parties depend on weather. Add a line such as Rain date: July 27, and guests will know what to expect. A short note on the card saves many phone calls.
Hints for Evening Beach Parties
The card says 8:00 PM, so mention lanterns, a bonfire or a warm layer. Evenings by the sea can be cool, and a friendly line about a sweater is welcome.
Printing Sky Blue
Light blue prints well on any colour printer. Use gloss card stock for a fresh finish, or keep matte if guests may write on the back.
